Contract and Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Brent Council-Housing for a Contract and Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team managing multi-million-pound contracts.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract and Delivery Manager to oversee the management of refurbishment and planned works, ensuring that contractors, consultants, and other agencies meet the Council's objectives and affordability targets.
Key Responsibilities- Contract manage refurbishment and planned works, ensuring quality and compliance
- Conduct feasibility studies, manage design procurement, and ensure statutory approvals and health and safety regulations are met
- Undertake comprehensive budget management, including the production of financial reports and monitoring cash flow projections
- Manage assigned projects or programs, ensuring they are delivered to the expected standard
- Provide expert building surveying and technical advice to various stakeholders
- Drive service improvements by developing performance indicators, monitoring service delivery, and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Act as the Principal Designer to coordinate health and safety on all projects, ensuring that project and design risk management processes are in place
- PRINCE2 certification or relevant project management qualification
- Experience of building surveying in the Housing or Property Sector
- Managing refurbishment contracts and programmes
- Experience monitoring risks relating to contracting and developing mitigation plans
- Budgeting and financial management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of M&E, building construction, maintenance techniques, and building contract law
