About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team at Brent Council-Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing refurbishment and planned works, overseeing contractors, consultants, and other agencies to meet the Council's objectives and affordability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract manage refurbishment and planned works, ensuring quality and compliance with statutory approvals and health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, manage design procurement, and oversee project delivery to the expected standard.
  • Provide expert building surveying and technical advice to various stakeholders, including providers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement performance indicators, monitor service delivery, and drive service improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as the Principal Designer to coordinate health and safety on all projects, ensuring that project and design risk management processes are in place.

Requirements:

  • Education to ONC level and membership of CIOB or equivalent relevant experience.
  • PRINCE2 certification or relevant project management qualification desirable.
  • Experience of building surveying in the Housing or Property Sector, managing refurbishment contracts and programmes, and monitoring risks relating to contracting and developing mitigation plans.
  • Budgeting and financial management skills, with a comprehensive knowledge of M&E, building construction, maintenance techniques, and building contract law.
  • Ability to diagnose building defects and specify remedial measures.
