About the Role

As a key member of our Business Development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing Abcam's in-licensing strategy across various products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement In-Licensing Strategy: Collaborate closely with the in-licensing team to develop and implement Abcam's in-licensing strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Establish Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with external entities worldwide, facilitating the negotiation and execution of agreements to in-license key products and technologies.
  • Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate with Portfolio Managers and Product teams to ensure in-licensed products meet consumer needs and enhance Abcam's offerings.
  • Track and Achieve KPI Targets: Track and achieve KPI targets for the role, maintaining agreement details in databases and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, providing support to the Business Development team as needed and participating in team activities.
  • Represent Abcam at Industry Events: Participate in industry conferences and networking events to expand Abcam's network and promote in-licensing opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a life science field.
  • Prior experience in the life science market.
  • Strong relationships-building and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of in-licensing processes and agreement structures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate in a multi-site environment.
