Sales and Estimating Manager

We are seeking a Sales & Estimating Manager to lead and manage the Sales and Estimating team at Brookwood Recruitment. The primary focus of this role is to drive business growth by developing and implementing sales strategies, enhancing relationships with existing customers, and expanding into new sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and estimating strategies to achieve business growth targets.
- Communicate and drive commercial strategies within the Sales and Estimating team.
- Manage and motivate the sales team, delivering performance reviews and holding regular 1-2-1 meetings.
- Monitor and evaluate KPIs for direct-reporting staff, providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Track and report on competitor and market trends, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Provide monthly management reports on sales team performance, metrics, and activities.
- Lead efforts in project tracking, conversion analysis, and reporting on lost orders.
- Work closely with the Design team to optimize solutions and minimize risks.
- Support the accounts team by helping to reduce debtor days and improve cash flow (NWC).
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and estimating management, preferably within a technical or industrial sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- In-depth understanding of pricing strategies and market analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
