Teaching Personnel: English Teacher Required

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our Alternative Provision team based in Totnes. As a dedicated educator, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people who require tailored education in a nurturing and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students with special educational needs and/or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Collaborate with the wider multi-disciplinary team, including SEN specialists, therapists, and support staff, to ensure each student's needs are fully met.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and external professionals to support students' academic and personal development.

**Requirements:**

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4) with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Proven experience working with students who have SEN and/or SEMH needs, preferably in an alternative provision or SEN setting.
  • Additional training or qualifications in SEN/SEMH education.
