Warehouse & Logistics Lead

Are you a seasoned professional looking to drive logistics and warehousing operations to the next level? We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse & Logistics Lead to join our team at Adepto Technical Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Warehouse Procedures: Create and implement efficient warehouse procedures to optimize inventory management and reduce costs.
  • Establish and Manage Storage Facilities: Oversee the development and management of new storage facilities to meet the needs of our growing business.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Logistical Movements: Coordinate logistical movements within the UK, EU, and internationally, including to the USA, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Freight Operations: Manage road, sea, and air freight operations to ensure compliance with customs regulations and minimize transportation costs.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and focus on environmental health and safety standards across all operations.
  • ERP System Implementation: Participate in the implementation of an ERP system to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of four direct reports, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Warehouse Management Experience: Strong background in warehouse management and logistics, with a proven track record in developing and implementing warehouse procedures.
  • Logistics Expertise: Extensive experience with road, sea, and air freight logistics, including customs regulations and compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a collaborative management style and experience in leading and developing a team.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex logistics issues and develop effective solutions.
