Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Menzies Distribution Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of warehouse operatives to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet customer timescales and improve productivity.
- Quality Standards: Maintain quality standards and ensure that all warehouse operations are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- Productivity Targets: Ensure that team productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse functions are operating efficiently.
- Handover Reports: Provide a handover report to the oncoming Shift Manager to ensure a smooth transition of duties.
- Inductions and Training: Ensure that all new staff receive inductions and training to enable them to undertake their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all staff have completed the necessary Health and Safety training and that the warehouse is a safe and healthy working environment.
- Warehouse Management: Manage the end-to-end warehouse functions and processes to ensure that all operations are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Housekeeping: Ensure that the warehouse is kept safe, clean, and tidy at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Prioritisation and Problem-Solving: A good approach to prioritisation of daily tasks and the ability to keep a cool head under pressure.
- Computer Literacy: Computer literate and able to use a range of software applications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
