Dementia Support Project Research Assistant

We seek a highly skilled researcher to work with our team evaluating an approach to supporting people from ethnic minority communities with dementia.

This postdoctoral opportunity is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research and offers a chance to be part of an interdisciplinary team passionate about dementia care at The University of Wolverhampton.

About the Role
  • To assist the project team with research tasks, including recruitment, data collection, and analysis.
  • To help develop study materials and apply for ethical approval.
  • To provide daily project management support, including planning workshops and responding to inquiries.
  • To participate in relevant training to ensure role effectiveness.
  • To contribute to report writing and dissemination activities, such as publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
  • To ensure adherence to research governance standards for data protection and storage.
  • To engage with the Centre for Applied and Inclusive Health Research's activities, including attending research meetings and presenting seminars.
  • To assist with teaching on Postgraduate Research modules.
Key Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Health, Social Sciences, Psychology) or equivalent.
  • Research experience in social care settings.
  • Expertise in qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Able to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines.
