Wales Voluntary Committee Roles for BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need has an exciting opportunity for several Advisory Committee members to support our grant-making strategy within the nations and regions. As an Advisory Committee member, you will play a key role in advising the Trustees on grant awards in Wales, using your expertise and experience to enrich the decision-making process.
Our focus is on finding and funding inspiring ideas that change children's lives. The grants we provide support organizations to make real differences to the lives of children and young people. You will be part of a small team that brings knowledge and understanding to enrich the decision-making process.
We are looking for individuals with experience of working with children and young people, especially early years children, the voluntary sector, equal opportunities, the rights of the child, and lived experience of some of the challenges we seek to address.
Key Responsibilities- Attend Grant Allocation meetings and Planning and Portfolio meetings as required
- Contribute to the decision-making process by sharing your expertise and experience
- Maintain the integrity of the charity and achieve a balanced portfolio of grants
