Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students with mental health needs and challenging behaviors in a specialist Pupil Referral Unit. The successful candidate will provide direct support to students, implement behavior support strategies, and engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a care, support, or mental health setting, with Team Teach training being desirable. This role offers a valuable opportunity for those aiming to advance their careers in mental health care while making a meaningful impact.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in mental health and behavior support settings. As a Classroom Support Worker, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
This role involves working with students who may exhibit challenging behaviors, requiring a high level of patience, understanding, and empathy. You will be responsible for implementing individualized support plans, engaging students in activities, and maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment.
