Job Description

We are looking for a professional and ambitious Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse who shares our passion for delivering outstanding care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading an allocated team of nurses and support workers, supervising junior staff, and working closely with the management team to develop the service and improve quality.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of nurses and support workers to ensure effective allocation of care and associated duties.
  • Supervising junior staff and providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Working collaboratively with the management team to develop and implement service improvements.
  • Conducting appraisals, audits, interviews, and disciplinaries as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current NMC number and a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Experience in leading teams and providing supervision and guidance to junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, visitors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Able to deputise in a clinical lead role and promote patient recovery to monitor, manage, and reduce risk.
