Mental Health Specialist

Salford CAMHS is seeking a skilled and ambitious Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work alongside a wide range of colleagues from nursing, speech and language therapy, social work, and psychology.
As an experienced practitioner, you will have extensive clinical experience and be qualified as a Non Medical Prescriber. You will contribute to specialist neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, providing treatment and support via our medication pathway.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions and additional mental health difficulties. They will be able to assess and manage risk, including safeguarding, and provide therapeutic interventions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex diagnostic assessments as an autonomous practitioner across a range of mental health conditions.
- Manage own caseload, providing high-quality care appropriate to the child or young person's needs.
- Provide therapeutic intervention for children, young people, and their families.
