Key Responsibilities:- Purchase Ledger Management: Ensure the smooth workflow of all documentation through the purchase ledger process, adhering to company procedures.
- Invoice Processing: Receive and distribute purchase invoices for authorisation, and input them into Sage 50 Accounts with meticulous attention to detail.
- Financial Reconciliations: Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations, investigating any variances and ensuring accurate treatment of VAT/CIS tax.
- Financial Control: Maintain a high level of control and e-filing for all financial documents, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor records, verify new subcontractors on HMRC, and process weekly subcontractor runs/upload to Sage.
- HMRC Compliance: Submit monthly HMRC CIS Returns and distribute monthly project cost reports from Sage to Contract Managers.
- Financial Audits: Regularly audit nominal codes to ensure correct allocation and maintain the Asset Register and Depreciation Accounts.
- Support to Finance Manager: Assist the Finance Manager as required, providing additional support with sales ledger invoicing and payment run processing.
- Sage 50 User: Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts.
- Attention to Detail: Highly attentive to detail, delivering accurate work.
- CIS Knowledge: Working knowledge of CIS and Domestic Reverse Charge preferred but not essential.
- Communication Skills: Confident communicator with good Microsoft Excel skills (formulas and pivot tables as a minimum).
- IT Skills: Good all-round IT skills, including MS Office.
