We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Physician to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is a Specialty Doctor position in Emergency Medicine, suitable for doctors with ST4+ level experience. The successful candidate will work across both hospital sites, gaining experience in working in a Major Trauma Centre and tertiary centre for various specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary medical care to patients suffering recent injuries and acute medical conditions of sudden onset.
  • Pre-hospital treatment of trauma victims and those suffering from acute illness.
  • Treatment of patients referred by General Practitioners, excluding referrals directly to specialist departments.
  • To be aware of the Trust's Major Incident Plan and carry out relevant roles as determined by the Plan.
  • Provision of advice to members of the public who contact the department.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £73,167 - £95,414, depending on experience and qualifications.
