Part-time Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a part-time Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics to join our busy Orthodontic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced orthodontist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality secondary care services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive secondary care service in all aspects of Orthodontics, including management of hypodontia and patients requiring orthognathic surgery, in conjunction with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry teams.
  • Participate in an active orthodontic Managed Clinical Network, which includes local acute Trusts and specialist practitioners across Lancashire & South Cumbria region.
About the Role
  • Estimated salary: £59,175 - £95,400 per annum, based on 6 sessions per week (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays).
  • This post attracts 6 PA's in total, with set working days.
Requirements
  • Full GDC registration with a licence to practise at time of appointment.
  • Entry on the Specialist List for Orthodontics.
  • BDS or equivalent degree in undergraduate Dentistry.
  • MFDS.
  • M.Sc in Orthodontics.
Key Skills and Experience
  • At least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) recognised taught Orthodontic Postgraduate course.
  • Practical clinical experience in Orthodontics.
  • Educational/Clinical supervisor experience.
