About the Role:


We are seeking an exceptional Critical Care Physician Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Providing primary medical care to patients suffering recent injuries and acute medical and surgical conditions of sudden onset
  • Treating patients referred to the department by General Practitioners, excluding those referred directly to other specialist departments
  • Supervising and teaching training-grade doctors on the shop floor
  • Contributing to the supervision and coordination of emergency services across both hospital sites

Requirements:



  • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
  • MBBS or equivalent (primary medical degree as recognized by the GMC)
  • ALS and at least one of: ATLS, APLS, ETC (or equivalent), MIMMS
  • Higher qualification: desirable
  • 4 years of postgraduate medical experience/training, of which at least 12 months must be in Emergency Medicine (at least 6 months of this should be in the UK in a training or middle grade post at CT3 level or above)
  • Experience in posts other than A&E at middle grade level
