About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team at Redworth Hall Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day staffing needs, planning and assigning work, and establishing performance and development goals for team members. They will also provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to improve team member performance, initiating and completing any HR-related activities where required.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for our guests, proactively resolving any challenges that may arise. They will also be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting their approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the front of house operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of front of house staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Plan and assign work, establish performance and development goals, and provide regular feedback to improve team member performance.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to team members, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and data, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Hospitality Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and property management systems.
