Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Outreach Practitioner to join our team at Via Westminster Drug Project. The successful candidate will lead on outreach provision to support greater access opportunities for under-served and hard to reach communities within the County.

The Role

This specialist practitioner role will involve delivering excellent drug and alcohol services to clients and their significant others, including family members, friends and carers. The successful candidate will also deliver prevention work in a variety of community settings to prevent people from engaging in substance misusing and risk-taking behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong links with a wide range of community groups to encourage and promote access into services for hard to reach and under-served groups.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and Safeguarding principles.
  • Deliver prevention work in a variety of community settings to prevent people from engaging in substance misusing and risk-taking behaviours.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a driving licence and be able to work peripatetically across the County. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
