About the Role

This Health & Safety Consultant position is a key appointment within our Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Unit, based in Inverness.

Job Purpose: To assist in providing a comprehensive health and safety advisory service to the various services of the Council, meeting statutory requirements, and supporting the development of a strong health and safety culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice on health and safety matters.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement health and safety policies.
  • Conducting risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
  2. Minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent, with a working towards the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
