Job Summary

You will work within our Main Contracts Sales and Estimating team, contributing to the estimation of new large projects in London, including office/commercial developments, infrastructure, and data centers. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will work with various team members, learning to develop technical solutions for customers, estimate tenders, and generate submissions. You will also witness the enquiry-to-order process firsthand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and respond to customer enquiries, updating our CRM system, Goldvision.
  • Develop technical specifications and proposals based on customer deadlines.
  • Produce accurate quotations by reviewing customer specifications, drawings, bills of quantities, and project documentation.
  • Liaise with design engineers, project management, and leadership to gain technical input into quotations.
  • Analyze financial and technical risks associated with projects.
  • Submit quotations to customers and clients.
  • Progress submitted quotations, obtaining client feedback, and preparing win/loss key performance indicators and lessons learned.
  • Interact with customers via email, telephone, or site visits to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
Training and Development

You will study towards a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship over 18 months, delivered via online learning from a national apprenticeship provider. During this time, you will work alongside our experienced team, delivering a real role as a Sprinkler Sales Estimator. You will need to manage your time and commitments effectively to complete assignments while delivering a highly valued role.

What We Offer
  • Salary: £18,000 per annum.
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and the option to buy 5 days and sell 2 days.

  • 36.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 8:45 am - 4:40 pm, Friday, 8:45 am - 4 pm).
  • Training and Development: The fire industry is a niche engineering industry where your skills will be in demand. We will offer you the opportunity to train as an Estimator, with the potential to achieve a competitive salary once fully trained and experienced.
