About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and appraise nursing staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support their development.
  • Manage rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and their families, promoting a culture of empathy and compassion.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and of the highest quality.

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid PIN.
  • Previous experience of managing others, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Experience of working in an acute or forensic setting, with a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and relevant policies and procedures.
