About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and support to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and appraise nursing staff, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Manage rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with colleagues, patients, and carers.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local and national guidelines.

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • Previous experience of managing others and contributing to clinical leadership.
  • Experience of working in acute or forensic settings, with a strong understanding of mental health legislation and policies.
