About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and supervision to the nursing team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with the Ward Manager to set and maintain clinical standards, ensuring that our services are delivered in accordance with local and national priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery, working in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with local and national priorities.

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a valid PIN.
  • Previous experience of directly managing others, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Experience of working in an acute or forensic setting, preferably in a leadership or management role.
