Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Asset & Liability Management Specialist to join our team at Leeds Building Society. As a key member of our Assets and Liabilities Management team, you will play a pivotal role in forecasting and monitoring the Society's financial risks, opportunities, and balance sheet composition on a behavioural basis.

Estimated Salary:

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

You will be responsible for calculating and reporting the Society's Market exposures and supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of the Society's ALM models. This will include extensive usage of QRM, the Society's risk management system, with ample opportunity to help develop and optimise the system and models to create further value-added insights and recommendations to Senior Management.

A key part of the role will be supporting other members of the team in a technical capacity, including coaching and mentoring Trainee ALM Analysts. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a Treasury/ALM position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Market Risk (IRRBB) concepts and measurements.
  • Experience of operating and developing a bespoke risk management/income simulation model e.g. QRM.
  • Ability to coach and mentor Trainee ALM Analysts.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including a good level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to manage and analyse large sets of financial data.
  • Ability to communicate proposals and recommendations in written and verbal form to a range of recipients, including senior management.
