About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Building Surveyor to join our team at Home Group. As a key member of our Building Surveying and Asset Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our asset programme and maintaining high-quality homes with long-term investment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement our long-term survey requirements, ensuring we meet future business needs and maintain high-quality homes.
  • Work closely with our teams to deliver our programme of housing, refurbishment, and remediation works to properties.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and key stakeholders to work up programmes and budgets, ensuring we have a good commercial understanding of our assets.
  • Use your technical expertise to guide and lead our team of Surveyors, driving positive working relationships with contractors.

About You

  • You have MRICS or MCIOB accreditation, an accredited Building Surveying degree, or equivalent, and strong experience in building surveying and investment planning.
  • You have a current knowledge of building construction, design, and CDM requirements, as well as relevant codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards, and materials.
  • You have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive positive working relationships with contractors.
  • You have a creative spark to think outside the box on how things can be done more efficiently.

What We Offer

  • A salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Flexible hybrid working from our office at Leeds or Newcastle Upon Tyne and across our national portfolio, with typical travel being a couple of days a month.
  • A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
