Hassocks, West Sussex, United Kingdom Secure Care UK - Bases Full time

Secure Care UK Ltd is a leading provider of secure patient transport services, committed to delivering exceptional care and safety to our patients. As a Mental Health Transport Assistant, you will play a vital role in making a positive impact on people's lives at their most vulnerable time.

We are seeking experienced, caring and committed individuals with an engaging approach who are keen to enhance their skills within the Mental Health sector. While previous experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as full bespoke accredited training will be provided by our dedicated team of experienced trainers.

You will need to be a passionate, empathetic and highly motivated individual who thrives working in a close-knit team to deliver exceptional quality care to our patients. We pride ourselves on building positive professional relationships with our patients and making a true difference at their time of need.

This is not just a driving job, but about taking the patient on a journey from one setting to another with safety, care, respect, consideration and empathy to make that transition as smooth as possible. There may be times when trained techniques need to be used for the patient's safety, either in a place of safety, a vehicle or other settings.

The job satisfaction comes from knowing that you have played an integral part in their time of crisis. Our patients appreciate the care and compassion we show them, and we strive to provide a service that is second to none.

We are proud to be the first and only Secure Patient Transport company in the UK to achieve the Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) accreditation. This demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality care and reducing the use of physical interventions.

As a Mental Health Transport Assistant, you will receive comprehensive training, including patient care, patient transport, de-escalation techniques, physical intervention, handcuff training and first aid. You will also have access to continuous professional development opportunities to help you grow your skills and experience in the Mental Health field.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £26,593.80 per annum, based on expected hours, plus shift pay enhancements for call-in or overtime shifts. You will also benefit from a range of rewards, including gift vouchers, peer nomination awards and a suggestion scheme.

We are looking for individuals who share our values of Patient First, Respect, Openness, Unity and Determination. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a difference in people's lives, we would like to hear from you.
