We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting water treatment solutions to independent and national plumbing & heating merchants and builders merchants.
Your primary focus will be on account management, stimulating demand for products, and driving revenue growth. You will be working closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field sales position, selling water treatment, water softeners, heating system chemical treatments, and scale prevention
- Promoting water treatment solutions to independent and national plumbing & heating merchants and builders merchants
- Account management of circa 200 national plumbing and builders merchants and circa 300 independent plumbing & heating merchants
- Stimulating demand for products with plumbing contractors and site visits
- Targeted growth of independent plumbing and builders merchants revenue from £50,000 to £150,000 in the first year, and total revenue from circa £150,000-£200,000 to £250,000-£300,000
Requirements:
- Proven field sales track record within the plumbing & heating sector
- Ideally experience of selling to plumbing & heating merchants
- Will consider someone working for a plumbing & heating merchant, looking for first field sales role
- Previous experience stimulating demand with plumbing contractor and end users is not essential
- Preferably sold lightside building products; plumbing, heating, HVAC products such as boilers or sanitary ware
- Strong in prospecting, closing, and growing business accounts
- Can-do attitude
