Area Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Michael Page Sales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within their designated region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional to develop and execute a strategic sales plan, building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction and plant sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy for your region, aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and ensure consistent growth in revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to position our client effectively.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the range of machinery, equipment, and services to effectively promote and sell to customers.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, preparing accurate forecasts and pipelines.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a sales role within the construction equipment, plant machinery, or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of the plant and construction sectors and the ability to sell technical solutions.
- Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and build long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong results-driven mentality.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant sales tools.
- Full UK driving license (or relevant for location) and willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
