Job Summary

Capital Group seeks a seasoned professional to lead our efforts in building a holistic learning and development program for investment professionals throughout their career lifecycle. As the Director of Investor Development and Early Career Investment Professionals, you will collaborate with investment leaders and the talent acquisition team to identify and nurture investment talent for the firm while raising the profile of our brand in the early career recruiting market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategic plan for the full lifecycle of an investor, encompassing technical and functional investment skillsets as well as broader business acumen.
  • Provide leadership for the Capital Associates Program (CAP), utilizing best practices in the early career and investor development space, and partner with the global investment group to develop CAP talent for future investment and leadership roles at the firm.
  • Identify, prioritize, and evaluate key Learning and Development initiatives for Investors at Capital, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and assess the overall effectiveness of the current learning and development programs, making adjustments as necessary to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Manage a team that includes associates rotating through the early career program, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive talent development experience, with a focus on early career program management.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in the financial services industry, preferably with direct investor/research experience (buy or sell side).
  • Experience developing a learning and development strategy, influencing investors and leaders across the organization, and executing for measurable results.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to develop, mentor, and coach others.
  • Passion for learning and development, with expert knowledge of the early career and investment research space.
  • Ability to create excitement around a compelling vision in a collaborative, team-oriented fashion.
  • Ability to cut through complexity and ambiguity, prioritize effectively, set clear goals, and operate in an agile fashion.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence strategy and lead by example.
What We Offer

Capital Group offers a competitive salary range of $217,648-$370,002 in Southern California, $239,993-$407,988 in San Francisco, and $230,736-$392,251 in New York.
