About the Role

Vertical Advantage is seeking an ambitious Key Account Manager to join our on-trade team, managing large managed groups across the UK. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing customer and wholesaler relationships to grow sales, advocacy, and partnership activation amongst this influential community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute customer strategy and activation plans to increase brand distribution and visibility, as well as drive sales of our brands in the customer base.
  • Manage accounts to achieve preferred partner status, driving sales in in-out trade outlets across key small managed groups.
  • Manage customer P&L's to unlock and deliver growth, identifying opportunities in the customer base and building relationships with Brand Ambassadors to execute activations.
  • Deliver expert advice on the spirits industry to customers and consumers, planning and managing workload to meet key trade times.
Requirements
  • Experience in the Spirits/Drinks industry with an extensive knowledge in the space.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience activating brands in the on-trade scene.
  • Understanding of how to build a brand and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry and good presentation skills.
  • WSET qualification Level 2 is desirable.
