Job Description:
As a Technical Support Specialist with Gap Personnel, you will be working with Yeo Valley to provide technical support for their IT systems. The role involves providing responsive and timely technical assistance to the business, applying and developing technical knowledge on various IT equipment, and managing support tickets throughout their lifecycle.

About Yeo Valley:
GAP Personnel are currently recruiting for an IT Support Analyst for their client, Yeo Valley. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in IT, especially if you've had experience working in IT support or have recently studied IT. You will be part of an enthusiastic IT team of 18 employees covering applications, infrastructure, service desk, cybersecurity, and BI. Yeo Valley is a distinctive manufacturing company committed to making great British dairy products the right way, forever.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support to the business - being the first point of contact for IT and business system tickets.
  • Developing technical knowledge on issues relating to laptops, scanners, printers, tablets, networks, and other IT equipment.
  • Technical problem-solving on incoming issues, investigating, analyzing, using logical questioning to clarify problems and symptoms, and working with end-users to create, test, and implement solutions.
  • Using knowledge of Yeo Valley's business priorities and operations to provide high levels of IT service to the business based on commercial priority and business criticality.
  • Managing, prioritizing, and solving support tickets throughout their lifecycle and being an interface between the business and the IT and Business Systems team.

Requirements:
  • IT competent with good experience of Microsoft Systems such as Windows and Office.
  • Experience fixing IT hardware issues on laptops, printers, scanners, and phones.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize heavy workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills.
