About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Building Surveyor to join our Estates team in Edinburgh. As a Conservation Surveyor Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the long-term conservation of our listed properties and the protection of our national collection.

Working closely with our Head of Estates and other senior managers, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our Forward Maintenance Plan and assigned capital projects. This will involve project managing allocated building fabric projects, undertaking regular condition surveys, and developing and implementing annual maintenance plans.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant building surveying subject
  • Experience of delivering planned and response maintenance on multi-site estates
  • Extensive knowledge of building fabric and construction
  • Strong IT skills – competent in use of Microsoft 365 packages, Microsoft project, excel, word, AutoCAD and CAFM systems

The salary for this position is estimated at £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will work in Edinburgh, Scotland's vibrant capital city, which offers a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.
