In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality marine ecology impact assessments, including environmental statements and license applications. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that their projects meet regulatory requirements and minimize environmental impacts. Your extensive knowledge of marine consenting and licensing regimes across the UK will be invaluable in navigating the complex regulatory landscape.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity requires a senior marine ecologist to provide technical expertise and guidance on marine conservation projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inputs to a wide range of workstreams and deliverables across multiple projects. Your comprehensive marine ecological expertise will enable you to deliver high-quality marine ecology impact assessments, including ES chapters and associated assessments (HRA, MCZ, WFD).

Your Responsibilities
* Provide technical marine ecological advice and support to project teams
* Manage inputs to a wide range of workstreams and deliverables across multiple projects
* Deliver marine ecology impact assessments, including ES chapters and associated assessments (HRA, MCZ, WFD)
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve environmental outcomes of projects
* Contribute to work-winning efforts, including developing technical and fee proposals, and marketing and business development activities

Requirements
* Recognized degree in marine biology/ecology or related field
* Professional membership (CIEEM or similar) or eligibility to qualify
* Extensive marine ecological expertise, including experience in impact assessments and license applications
* Strong understanding of marine consenting and licensing regimes across the UK
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
