We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 5 nurse to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to work in a world-leading cancer centre, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of innovative treatments.

About the Role

As a Band 5 nurse in our dermatology department, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with skin cancer, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatment plans. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in wound care, minor procedures, and chemotherapy administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, document, and deliver evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient manner.
  • Develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit.
  • Manage a shift with guidance from the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a nurse with the relevant professional body.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in intravenous drug administration and sufficient post-registration nursing experience in oncology or a related speciality.
