Spire Leicester is seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our specialist oncology pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with current legislation, professional standards, and clinical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the specialist pharmacy service of oncology, ensuring the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Provide advice and support to consultants, other clinicians, and patients on the safe management of medicines.
  • Work clinically alongside other clinicians to screen chemotherapy and sign off treatments.
  • Consult with patients on the ward to discuss treatment issues and work with them to resolve these.
  • Investigate new and different treatments available to our patients, working with consultants to implement these.
Requirements
  • GPHC registered, with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Experience in Oncology, with the ability to hit the ground running in this environment.
  • Accredited with BOPA digital SACT passport or suitable background in clinical screening of SACT.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
