Teaching Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Qualified Teacher to join our team at a Specialist Nurture school in the Wakefield area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children aged 11-19 years old who require additional support due to complex special educational needs, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position starting in January, initially for one full term, with the possibility of continuing long-term. The specialist nurture school has a maximum capacity of 27 young people, divided into small class sizes of around 6 pupils per class, providing a supportive environment that encourages learning and growth.

The school caters to young people with complex special educational needs, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities. Our team provides a range of therapeutic services aligned with the PBS framework, ensuring a comprehensive approach to supporting our students' needs.

Salary: Competitive rates of pay from £185 - £230 Per day (AWR Compliant)

Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
  • Understand and demonstrate knowledge of ASDAN, NCFE entry level, and foundation learning across various learning levels
  • Keen interest in teaching vulnerable children with SEND & Neurodiversity
  • Flexibility to attend meetings and CPD after school times
  • DBS on the Subscription service
