Leader Recruitment Group is a leading provider of education recruitment solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team in Leeds.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate individual to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour or additional needs. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress
  • Collaborate with other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support students
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
