SEMh Education Assistant

About the Job: We're looking for a dedicated and passionate Behavioural Support Worker to join our team at Prospero Teaching. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a SEMh school near Chorley, providing emotional support and guidance to students who require it most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with SEMh issues, promoting emotional well-being and reducing challenging behaviour
- Develop and implement effective strategies for supporting pupils, in collaboration with teachers and other support staff
- Conduct one-to-one sessions with pupils, addressing their specific needs and concerns
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children who display challenging behaviour
- De-escalation training
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
- Team Teach training
- Able to provide two professional references
