Academics SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Social Care and Education Jobs. As a key member of our specialist high school, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, term-time only. You will be part of a supportive team that empowers young people through learning, providing a safe and caring environment for them to thrive.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A GCSE Maths and English Level 2 or above qualification
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
- Experience working with SEN in an employed or voluntary setting, ideally in a school setting
- Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
Key responsibilities include supporting children with their learning and well-being, positive behaviour management, personal development, assisting the class teacher, participating in lesson planning and evaluation, and providing care when required.
