Your Responsibilities

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher with planning and adjusting lessons to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating pupil progress.
  • Providing accurate comments and reports to the classroom teacher regarding individual students' accomplishments.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for working with young people.
  • The ability to inspire pupils to ensure they can make the best possible progress in their academic, social, and independent skills.
  • Experience working with challenging behaviours.

Location and Salary

This role is based in Chorley, Lancashire, and offers a competitive salary of £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
