Learning and Emotional Support Tutor

About the Position: Prospero Teaching is recruiting a highly skilled and empathetic Education Assistant to work in a SEMh school near Chorley. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting pupils with SEMh issues, preferably with de-escalation training.
Job Description: As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be responsible for providing one-to-one support to pupils, promoting emotional well-being and reducing challenging behaviour.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred support to pupils with SEMh issues
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop effective strategies for supporting pupils
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils, addressing their specific needs and concerns
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant or similar role
- Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
- Team Teach training
- Able to provide two professional references
- Hold a valid enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service) or be willing to process a new application
