Deputy Head of Building Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Building to join our team at Ambassador Theatre Group. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre from a technical perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Electrics and Technical and Building Manager with the day-to-day running of the theatre.
  • Assist with the get ins, fit ups, and get outs of new productions and visiting events.
  • Maintain and upkeep of the theatre, ensuring a high standard of service for visiting companies.
  • Develop effective working relationships with the show team, visiting companies, and other venue teams.
  • Manage the department, balancing practical technical work and management responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Clear communication skills and ability to work closely with the Head of Electrics and Technical and Building Manager.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Practical technical skills and experience in theatre operations.
  • Management skills and ability to balance technical and administrative responsibilities.
