Deputy Head of Widening Participation Programme Operations

The Widening Participation team plays a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of impactful access and outreach programmes at LSE. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with our Head of Widening Participation and Deputy Head (Strategic Projects) to manage our existing WP activities, whilst developing new initiatives that will form a significant part of the 'Access' stream of our Access and Participation Plan (APP) for 2025/26 - 2028/29.
The RoleAs Deputy Head of Widening Participation Programme Operations, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of impactful access and outreach programmes at LSE. The Team and Wider ContextThe Widening Participation team's work directly contributes to the School's strategy, LSE2030, and supports our goals for advancing equity, diversity and inclusion. The team works with colleagues across the School to meet the ambitious commitments in our Access and Participation Plan with the regulator, the Office for Students.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of impactful access and outreach programmes at LSE.
- Work closely with the Head of Widening Participation and Deputy Head (Strategic Projects) to manage our existing WP activities.
- Develop new initiatives that will form a significant part of the 'Access' stream of our Access and Participation Plan (APP) for 2025/26 - 2028/29.
This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months (maternity cover). Salary from £50,606 - £58,505 pa, with potential to progress to £65,157 pa inclusive of London allowance.
