Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Widening Participation team as Deputy Head of Widening Participation. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of impactful access and outreach programmes at LSE.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and delivery of access and outreach programmes to support the School's strategy, LSE2030.
  • Work closely with the Head of Widening Participation and Deputy Head (Strategic Projects) to manage existing WP activities and develop new initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of the Access and Participation Plan (APP) for 2025/26 - 2028/29.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the School to meet the ambitious commitments in the APP.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in leading programme operations and development in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the development of the Widening Participation team.
