About the Job
Central CAMHS is seeking a qualified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist to join their dynamic team in North Wales. This role involves working with children, young people, and families to provide evidence-based interventions and assessments. The ideal candidate will have a core profession such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology, and be eligible for accreditation as a CBT Therapist by the BABCP or equivalent.

The successful candidate will have a significant role in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and providing focused Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies to this client group. They will also experience of working with families, carers, and professional support systems, as well as care coordination and communication effectively delivering evidence-based cognitive behavioural psychotherapies to highly complex psychological problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments using effective interview, observation, review of records, and relevant psychometric measures.
  • Provide focused Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies to children, young people, and families.
  • Experience of working with families, carers, and professional support systems.
  • Care coordination and communication effectively delivering evidence-based cognitive behavioural psychotherapies to highly complex psychological problems.
