Ambition North Wales is committed to delivering a sustainable future for North Wales. We are seeking a highly skilled Energy and Net Zero Programme Manager to join our team and help us achieve our goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Ambition North Wales Energy Team, collaborating with regional partners and Welsh Government to deliver the Regional Energy Strategy. They will also develop project business cases, oversee project delivery, and ensure that individual and cumulative outcomes and targets are achieved on time and within allocated resources.

We are offering a competitive salary of £58,121 - £61,311 per annum, plus membership of the local government pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible working options available.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the sector;
  • Effective leadership and communication skills;
  • A good working knowledge of programme and project management methods;
  • Understanding of financial management and procurement practices;
  • High-level negotiating skills;
  • Experience of public/stakeholder engagement;
  • Evidence of continuous professional development;
  • Previous experience of staff management;
  • Experience of successful programme and/or project delivery to deadline and budget.
