Abcam, a global leader in the scientific community, seeks an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) expert to support its Commercial and Digital function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue budgeting and forecasting processes, owning detailed modelling, and ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.

This role reports to the Finance Director, Commercial & Digital, and is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team located in Cambridge. The position requires strong analytical skills, financial planning expertise, and proficiency in Excel.

A competitive salary is offered for this position, estimated at £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and Budgeting: Drive revenue budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting
  • Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with key business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide financial expertise
  • Financial Controls: Ensure appropriate SOX compliant controls in place for revenue recognition requirements
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, as well as strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
