Role Overview

ING is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst Intern to join its London Capital Markets & Advisory Group. As a Finance Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on key initiatives and execute live deals in one of the following departments: Corporate Finance/M&A, Acquisition Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Ratings Advisory, Loan Syndication, or Loan Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and industry research to support financial advisory services
  • Prepare company profiles and marketing materials for M&A deals
  • Carry out financial statement analysis and forecasting business and financial performance of target companies
  • Develop simple valuation models (DCF, relative valuation)
  • Support senior team members with live deal execution

Team Overview

ING's Corporate Finance team comprises over 200 professionals worldwide, providing financial advisory services on a wide range of M&A deals, including buy-side, sell-side, buy-outs, and capital raise transactions. The team covers the EMEA region across various sectors, including Energy, Commodities & New Technologies, Transport & Infrastructure, TMT, and Financial Institutions.

Acquisition Finance Team

ING's Acquisition Finance team supports Private Equity clients by providing debt financing solutions for Leveraged Buyouts and recapitalisations. Key activities include:

  • Identifying and tracking new business opportunities
  • Contributing to company, market, and valuation analysis
  • Assisting in the preparation of pitch books
  • Reviewing due diligence reports
  • Preparing LBO models

Debt Capital Markets Team

Learn about Leveraged Finance with a specific focus on High Yield Debt Capital Markets transactions and origination. Key activities include:

  • Deal execution for refinancings, corporate M&A, and leveraged buyouts
  • Advising clients on bond transactions
  • Preparing market updates

Loan Distribution Group

The Loan Distribution Group is a dedicated platform for all of ING's financing activities in the primary and secondary loan markets. The London team covers the EMEA region across various transactions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing transactions
  • Performing credit analysis
  • Preparing syndication advices
  • Market updates

Requirements

  • Prior experience through internships is of added value
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Foreign languages are advantageous
