Fleet Compliance Business Partner Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Compliance Business Partner to join our team at Sysco GB. This role will cover the South of the UK, including Dagenham, Harlow, and Aylesford, and will be based in a home office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Sysco Fleet Compliance strategy to ensure compliance with current legislation and company policy.
- Provide professional insight and advice regarding fleet legislation, FORS standards, and company policy.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a cyclical internal audit plan.
- Support and coach site management across all businesses.
- Identify training needs, develop, and support in delivering training solutions.
- Support nationally where there is a business need.
- Support project work and the company change programme.
Requirements:
- Experience in fleet maintenance and logistics operations.
- Proven track record supporting operations through change programmes.
- Evidenced record of continuous improvement to a fleet function aligned to compliance.
- Clear ability to influence behavioural and process change at all levels.
- Capacity to interpret, understand, and act on KPI data to achieve Fleet Compliance excellence.
- Report writing and action plan development.
- Good IT-literacy and analytical skills.
- Strong teamwork ethic, in which you will support, coach, and develop colleagues.
- Ability to contribute and assist in the delivery of the group fleet strategy, but also the wider company agenda.
- Evidence of working in a structured, process-driven environment with an eye for detail.
- Commercial acumen.
- Ability to engage and inspire colleagues and stakeholders alike.
Knowledge:
- Good understanding of driver management, fleet management, logistics, and wider industry best practices for operations and compliance management.
- Good understanding of Traffic Commissioner, OCRS, DVSA working practices.
- Clear understanding of Operator Licence undertakings.
- Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Clear understanding of the company impact from poor performance around OCRS, FORS requirement, Operator Licence failings.
Desirable Skills:
- ILM certificate.
- Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Experience in Fleet Management, Driver Management, Logistics management.
- Experience with Earned Recognition.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- FORS Internal auditor.
- Experience in behavioural change management.
