About the Role:

Premier Foods is seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in shaping the learning and development strategy for our site in Ashford, Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior HR Business Partner and site leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the site's goals and objectives.
  • Design and deliver effective development programs and solutions for a range of colleagues across the site, incorporating core capabilities and competencies in line with the L&D strategy.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Training team to ensure they are deployed effectively across the site and adding value.
  • Assist with arranging and delivering all aspects of technical training on site, including Health, Safety, Hygiene & Environmental.
  • Record and maintain training records on-site and assist in the accreditation of audit requirements.
  • Work proactively to conduct training needs analysis in line with mandatory requirements, individual needs, and the business strategy.
  • Produce an annual training calendar and coach managers to map out training plans for individual employees and teams as part of the talent process.
  • Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Manage apprentice programs, including recruitment, monitoring progress through regular reviews, and provider compliance monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years in an L&D role with FMCG experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of L&D trends and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence initiatives to final conclusion.
  • Must be qualified in train the trainer methodologies.
